The Communications Department serves constituents and employees of the Nevada-Utah Conference through a number of services. Our primary role is keeping members informed of news, upcoming events, and updates from within the Conference and Pacific Union, as well as around the entire North American Division.

This department is staffed by Michelle Ward, communications director and administrative assistant, and Faith Hoyt, a part-time communications intern. Together, they are responsible for the following tasks:

Pacific Union Recorder ARTICLES

Every month, the NUC submits 2-6 articles to the Pacific Union Recorder, a monthly publication with a circulation of 70,000. Every other month, the team submits content for the NUC Insert, a four-page document in the center of the Recorder. In addition to articles, this department is also responsible for collecting and submitting obituaries and Conference calendar events.

PromotiNG Conference Ministries

This department networks with each ministry of the Nevada-Utah Conference in order to promote upcoming events and share meaningful stories. Events are advertised on Facebook, the Conference Cable e-Newsletter, and in the Pacific Union Recorder.

Marketing OUR Schools

The schools in the Nevada-Utah Conference are vital to our mission to share the gospel. When time allows, we assist our schools with the development of promotional materials, analyze and make recommendations to marketing materials and websites, and promote the schools on social media.

Sharing Your Stories

We welcome our churches and schools to send news, events and article ideas so that we can share how God is working in your ministry with the rest of the Nevada-Utah Conference.

If you have a story you’d like to share, please email
